The Millbrook Seniors are a section within the main club and offer a warm welcome to all Senior Members, ie those players who are 55 years old and over
They have “Roll Ups” on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, organised before hand with tee times allocated on a random basis. During the darker mornings of December and January, this is delayed to an 8.30am start. The Thursday Roll-Up is a more relaxed round, normally based around team events. A small Roll Up fee (currently £2.00) is collected on both days to support events, prizes etc. during the year.
Dedicated Seniors Competitions, normally on Tuesdays are arranged regularly for handicap adjustment.
Competitive home and away matches are played against other clubs in the surrounding areas, with a charge for players to cover the meals provided. The Seniors also have a Spring and Summer away day, where competition and a sit down meal afterwards offers an enjoyable social event.
As well as golf, the Millbrook Seniors have an annual Christmas Dinner where their partners are invited. This is also a presentation night for competition winners.
The Seniors are run by a committee as shown below. All positions are elected at the Seniors AGM that takes place early March each year. Since the Seniors Section is self-supporting from roll up fees, it maintains its own accounts that are presented by the elected Treasurer. The Incoming Captain sets out the Charities that the Seniors will be supporting during the year at functions and Charity competitions.
